Agent Omer’s Log S1/E12
Dear Head of Operations,
Agent Coulson was still mopey when we got the call that an indoor pool was suddenly turned into ice at the Science & Technology division of the S.H.I.E.L.D. academy. They used one of FitzSimmons’ inventions from when they were students, which was why we were asked to investigate. A brief discussion on rivalry erupted between Agent Ward, who is from the Operations division, and FitzSimmons from SciTech. They’re both delusional because Communications is where it’s at. Think the Google offices. Yup. It’s THAT awesome. Agent May notified us that she and Agent Coulson are working on something else and that we were going to get dropped off. Whoo! No parents!
SciTech was exactly how I imagined it. Filled with nerds and FitzSimmons look alikes. We met with Agent Weaver, who took Fitz and Simmons to the lecture hall to prepare for the “potential” speech. Agent Ward, Skye, and I checked out the memorial wall for a bit and saw names like John Michaels, Allison Grift, Bucky Barnes… before Skye went on to discuss how she didn’t earn her spot on the team like they did, but Agent Ward reassured her that Agent Coulson saw a “dedication to the greater good” in her. Fitz & Simmons started the speech on potential. All S.H.I.E.L.D. agents know it. It’s basically the whole “hell was paved with good intentions” rundown with honorable mentions of Hydra, AIM and Centipede. What we didn’t expect was for a student to be completely encased in ice due to another ice gadget under the seats. He’s alive so I won’t dwell on that.
We decided it was time to divide and conquer, so Fitz was sent to Donnie Gill (icicle student) to chat, nerd to nerd, and we went to the boiler room which was turned into a club! I bet Agent May and Agent Coulson aren’t having as good a time as us. Agent Ward went to talk to Callie Hannigan, due to being at the pool when the first ice machine went off and really wants to be placed at the Sandbox after graduation. She told Agent Ward that Donnie wasn’t a loner after all! Nope, he was best buds with Seth Dormer (dude in the ice pool) and they were talking about Fitz’s arrival for weeks. This meant that Seth and Donnie set this all up so Fitz could unintentionally help them fix their giant ice storm machine. Apparently, they were going to sell it to Ian Quinn (surprise, surprise).
Long story short: the boys created a giant ice storm that included lightening, killing Seth and injuring Donnie. Agent May and Agent Coulson came back for the whole ice storm bit (they were also very tanned. Mmm…). Donnie got sent to the Sandbox, but not as a researcher. Man, being involved in your friends could mess up a person. Again, every much like Dr. Franklin Hall, I feel like this will bite us in the ass in the future. Agent Coulson seemed to be doing okay. Less mopey, but he did tell us that Ian Quinn is somehow involved with Centipede. Huh.
I’ve overheard Agent Coulson tell Skye she’s an 084. I CALL DIBS ON TELEPATH!!!
