PD Meet-Up: Game On 2.0

Hey Geeks!

We’re proud to announce that we’re having our very FIRST Paper Droids meet-up!

Some of you told us that you’d love to either meet the Paper Droids staff, PD writers, and/or other awesome geeks just like you. And we’ve been listening… we got an awesome suggestion that we couldn’t pass up, so we planned an event for you!

Game On 2.0

“What’s that,” You ask?

Game On 2.0 is an exhibit about the history, technology, and culture of video games.

If you’re a gamer geek, this is perfect for you! But don’t worry if you’re not; gamer cred isn’t a requirement, and we’d love to meet all of you.

Here are the details:

The Science Centre

770 Don Mills Road at the corner of Eglinton Avenue East in Toronto, Ontario.

Here’s a map!

Saturday, April 6 at 2pm.

Mark your calendars!

Keep in mind, there is an entry fee. Game On 2.0 is part of the Science Centre, so once you’re done geeking out about all the games, you can nerd out on science!

Costs may vary. Check listings here.

General admission: $22

Who’s welcome to come?

You, of course! As well as geeks of any age and gender.

Invite your geek friends and even your non-geek friends too! ;D

Hope to see you there… Geek on!

I'm a quiet girl with a lot to say. I'm a self-proclaimed geek girl, book worm, and social media addict. I'm the digital marketing manager for PaperDroids, so you've probably spoken to me on Twitter or Facebook, or if not, come say hi! I also have a book blog called Feisty Little Woman (feistylittlewoman.wordpress.com), where I write about strong female characters and their importance in novels and share my expertise about the publishing world.

  • Not-so-Top-Secretly We need a West Coast meetup! Although I somehow know a few of the WestCoasters already ;P

  • I’m there! We should bring name tags. Not that I’ll need one. The style editor is expected to be exceptionally ~*~fabulous~*~

  • This is awesome. I’m game (GET IT??? lol). I’ve always wanted to use that machine that ages you up but of the dozen times that I’ve gone, it’s NEVER HAPPENED! I plan on changing that. I also hope we get to play actual video games so you can all witness my crappiness…except for racing games 🙂

  • Steena

Yay! I think this is a GREAT idea! Even though an eighteen hour drive means I won’t be able to be there, I hope lots of geeks can make it and have a wonderful time!

  • I LOVE THE SCIENCE CENTRE!!!! lol.. 😛 how fun!!

I love that they do these kinds of exhibits.. went there for the Marvel one years ago, as well as the Harry Potter one…

    • ElissaS

The Harry Potter one was AMAZING!

    • HOW DID I MISS THOSE?? lol

      • StephFurlan

        Yes, how? D:
