This being said, it is significantly more difficult to find Hallowe’en costumes for women that aren’t sexed up to the max. So if you lean more towards the non-slutty get-ups, I’ve come to share with you a site called takebackhalloween.org that helps you put together Hallowe’en costumes of some pretty awesome ladies that are more on the “costume” side than on the “costume-themed miniskirt” side. They don’t sell any costumes, but they give you some ideas and help point you in the direction of where to buy pieces to put it together.
Examples of such costumes include Hatshepsut, Diana Ross, Jane Austen, and Ada Lovelace.
