News: Sherlock meets Doctor Who, and Daniel Radcliffe trades a scar for Horns

A whole bunch of shows started up this week, so here are some news items you may have missed when you couldn’t take your eyes off the screen!

TV

  • Benedict Cumberbatch may or may not play the Master in future episodes of Doctor Who. That sound you hear? The scream of fangirls everywhere.
  • The first trailer for the new season of American Horror Story is out!

Movies

  • There’s going to be a space version of Moby Dick. Part of me wants to turn my nose up at the idea, but an even larger part of me can’t stop laughing.
  • Please leave all puns and bad jokes at the door. A photo of Daniel Radcliffe in his new movie Horns has been released.

Music

Web Series

  • Channel Awesome is holding a casting call for several new shows, including the role of a female host with a knowledge of comics.

  • Ariel Kroon

Dear Harry Potter: this upcoming movie had better not be like an extended version of the music video for “Sugar We’re Going Down” by Fall Out Boy.

PS You are not Edward Cullen, and we don’t want you to be. Please let your stylists and photographer know.

From what I’ve heard, Horns isn’t really meant for the Twilight crowd.

I have no idea what it’s about, but I was referring to the fact that the photo looks like it could be a promo-still for Twilight. I think broody tortured supernatural dudes are kind of a mainstream thing now, and marketers everywhere are cashing in on it: I am not impressed.
