In a move that would make Janet Van Dyne’s ears perk up, the fashion label 3.1 Phillip Lim has created a comic book to be released in celebration of Lim’s upcoming Fall 2012 collection. Co-written by Phillip Lim himself and no less a personage than John Ostrander (Suicide Squad, Manhunter, and others for DC, Dark Horse, and Marvel), and drawn by Jan Duursema (Star Wars: Republic and others for Dark Horse), it seems that the book, entitled Kill the Night, will be a bit more than just another way for the designer to promote his wares. Intended to reflect the fall fashion lineup of 3.1 Phillip Lim, Kill the Night takes cues from such legendary titles as Sin City and contains a colorful cast of noir-inspired heroines (and we assume villainesses, too!). A glimpse at these pages from Selectism reveals sharp, dark linework detailing an array of stylin’ ladies.
